Born in 1981 in Annecy (Haute Savoie, Francia), M. Ester Verde Sesto is currently a Ph.D. student (2010) at the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in Madrid, working on the synthesis of porous organic polymers frameworks to anchor catalysts and to load polymeric membranes for gas separation properties.

She obtained her B.Sc. (2004) at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela and she received also her M.Sc. (2005) and her DEA (2006) at the same University (Department of Organic Chemistry, USC-CSIC)  by the Prof. Dolores Pérez Meirás supervision working in the synthesis and structural analysis of new aromatic compounds and in magnetic properties of liquid crystals.

She worked as Senior Technical and Professional Activities (I3P) during two years (2008-2010) at at the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology at CSIC, being the responsible for both x-ray and TGA-MS equipments.

Her current research interests are focussed on the synthesis, characterization of novel porous organic polymers frameworks to anchor catalysts and also in preparation of mixed polymeric membranes for gas separation applications.

In 2009 she attended the Advanced Specialization Master in Plastics and Rubber at ICTP-CSIC. She has a proved experience on a broad range of methods of synthesis and characterization (NMR, UV/VI, FT-IR, GPC, DSC, TGA).
